Scope:
Global tender management and cross-group sales optimisation
How a MedTech group used AI to win more tenders and sell more as a group
The challenge
A group of medical equipment manufacturers was competing for high-value public tenders across Europe and the MENA region. Each company in the group operated independently, with its own systems and processes, making cross-group collaboration and visibility impossible.
Leadership lacked visibility into:
- Global tender opportunities across all markets
- Compliance requirements and documentation across different regions
- Cross-selling opportunities within the group’s combined portfolio
- How many tender opportunities were being missed due to capacity and time constraints
Objective
Unify the group’s sales operations, automate the tender process, and maximise revenue from the combined portfolio without increasing operational costs.
Solution
Rather than integrating six separate ERP systems (the core business management software each company ran independently), a process that would have taken years, we built an AI layer on top of the existing infrastructure that connected the group’s capabilities and automated the most time-consuming parts of the tender process.
From there we:
Built an AI agent scanning global tender platforms 24/7
Automated compliance verification for each market’s requirements
Identified which individual products could be combined into one group portfolio
Generated initial tender documentation ready for human review
Delivered a centralised database and dashboards with real-time visibility into the group’s global pipeline
Results
The group significantly increased the number of tenders they could respond to on time and across more markets. By combining products from across the group into unified bids, they moved from selling individual items to pitching complete solutions, increasing the value of every tender they entered.
- 50% reduction in tender processing costs
- Access to new markets without increasing local headcount
- Larger deals by offering the full group portfolio instead of individual products
- Scalable framework ready for future acquisitions
